Kate Suhr has an artist’s soul, and an endearing, genuine energy that lights up rooms and stages alike. It is obvious to her fans that Kate was born to be musical. 1994 marked the start of children’s choir and these early experiences laid the foundation for a lifetime of creative endeavors.
Since graduating from Humber College with a degree in music from the school of creative and performing arts, Kate Suhr has divided her free time between teaching voice lessons, doing musical theater, collaborating with other artists, sitting on the floor freestyling with friends, writing songs with her ukulele, and hanging out with her little dog Beanie.
As with everything in life, Kate’s music is in a constant state of change and growth, with each genre providing her with a different outlet to express herself. Miss Suhr can belt out a soulful ballad, win you over with an upbeat acoustic tune, or star in a musical theater production, all in the same day. With this being said, Kate will always have a soft spot for country and her cover of Dolly Parton’s ‘Jolene’ could bring a tear to the eye of the hardest metal fan. Kate’s latest work with her ukulele is providing her with a fresh avenue for her music and creating excitement among fans.
